He's brilliant live! And the singing voice! His Emcee was quite different from Joel Gray and from Alan Cumming - who are the only other Emcees I've seen. He showed us most aspects of The Clown (sinister as well as comic) and was almost the soul of Berlin as it transitioned.
I didn't mention the ensemble - which was debauched and totally brilliant too.
